The farms are situated in the Koffiefontein district - along the tar road 100 km from Kimberley and 160 km from Bloemfontein. Typical Karoo farms, Weltevrede and Blaaubank, are situated between Koffiefontein and Fauresmith. There are plenty of deer and the Rietriver runs through it. The farm offers 200ha of corn, wheat, oats and lusern under irrigation from the Kalkfontein dam.
The Herefords consist of 45 Top cattle. The stud was started in 1953 with cattle bought from Shaung Moorcroft and Billy Kingwill. Dirk Louw Snr imported bulls and cattle from England.
We also farm with commercial Dormer sheep and feedlots.
